After receiving hundreds of quirky name suggestions fromChestershoppers; The Grosvenor Shopping Centre has announced the name for its Mini First car.
Anna Sant, of Saltney, has named the centre's branded Mini First car Betsy, a suggestion that came from her 91 year old Grandfather. The name was taken from his favourite TV show starring famous Steeplejack Fred Dibnah, whose train was named Betsy. As the lucky winner, Anna won a huge £500 shopping spree in the centre and will go forward to be in with a chance of winning the brand new Mini in a prize draw in 2014.
Anna said: "It was fantastic to win the money in the lead up to Christmas; we had all the family over so we treated ourselves to some lovely new house essentials including a full new dinner set, cushions and a rug to make Christmas extra special."
Anna added: "My Granddad was made up that The Grosvenor Shopping Centre chose Betsy as the name for their Mini car."
The Grosvenor Shopping Centre General Manager Julie Webb said: "Betsy has become part of the family here at the centre and we're pleased that she now has a name and an outfit to hit the streets ofChesterwith. Don't worry if you missed out this time, Betsy has plenty more competitions lined up!"
